Engagement
The Soils and Biogeochemistry Graduate Group hosts and participates in several events throughout the year. Each fall there is a weekend field trip for graduate students to get to know each other and have fun, while exploring the region. There is also a Kickball Event where students will have the opportunity to interact with faculty and students from Atmospheric Science Grad Group and Hydrologic Sciences Grad Group. There are also department-hosted welcome activities like Picnic Day, Ice Cream Social, etc. Each spring there is a "showcase" recruitment event where we invite top-ranked applicants to visit the campus and meet with faculty and students.
